On Friday, September 1, 2006, in the UK, media reported the announcement that the government is supporting a Nazi-style screening of not just every child and citizen but also at “pre-birth.”
The UK Prime Minister announced that the State plans to prevent babies being born into high-risk families.
Psychs have convinced the government that they can identify problem children who grow up to be a potential “menace to society” even before they are born.
They’ve also recommended the use of computer monitoring of families to predict who could become involved in anti-social behavior.
Identified families will face regular checks by “social services staff.”
Remember, too, the U.S. New Freedom Commission on Mental Health has already recommended screening of pregnant women, every schoolchild and adult. The UK is evidence of where the U.S. is heading.
It gets scarier. The UK plan falls under a deceptively named program called RESPECT (“for values”), run out of the Home Office—the equivalent of Homeland Security in the U.S. The Home Office oversees security for the country, crime and terrorism.
Who are some of the targeted people? According to RESPECT’s website, people renting from “social landlords”—in other words, the poorer of the community in housing complexes, representing more than 8 million people. “House Managers” in the buildings are expected to identify anti-social behavior in their tenants. Already, over half of social landlords have a “specialist officer or multi-disciplinary team in place to coordinate action on anti-social behavior.” That “coordination” includes “rehabilitation.”
The government/psychiatric Brave New World plan has already implemented:
Anti-social behavior orders (ASBOs)—court orders to prevent an individual engaging in specific forms of anti-social behavior. ASBOs were introduced under the Crime and Disorder Act and can be issued to anyone aged 10 years or over. They impose restrictions on the behavior of individuals. A breach of an ASBO is a criminal offence and can lead to custody, with a maximum penalty of 5 five years' imprisonment or a fine of up to $9,500 for an adult offender. Over 6,500 have been issued so far.
Ritalin and ASBOs: In Britain since 1995, there has been a 2,130% increase in the number of prescriptions of Ritalin to children. Last week the FDA ordered warnings to be added to stimulant packaging in the U.S., alerting that the drugs cause hallucinations, psychosis, aggression, and ‘serious’ cardiovascular side effects. Yet, in Britain, if a child taking Ritalin is driven to aggression or “anti-social” behavior, he can be subject to an ASBO.
Parenting Orders: Education authorities, schools, youth teams and others can obtain a court order to bring anti-social children under control. The orders are used to “gain compliance from parents” to meet ”specific requirements to help curb the anti-social behavior of children in their care or guardianship.”
Parenting Contracts: A so-called “voluntary written agreement” where the parent agrees to cooperate with a local agency regarding the proper supervision of their child.
Parenting Courses: Agencies have the power to force parents to do courses if they refuse to take up “help” when their children are "out of control." A "national parenting academy" has been recommended to train social workers, clinical psychologists and youth justice workers about advising parents and to issue more parenting orders.
It is also reviewing recommendations for:
Curfews: Currently, there is a recommendation that nighttime curfews be implemented and new, fixed penalties ranging from £80 to £100 ($152 - $190).
Railroading Police: Communities be given powers to grill the police on their battle with antisocial people and demand tougher action where they think the police have failed. Essentially, the police are to be held accountable to the community. Police officers and council officials have to hold "face the people" sessions to explain what action they were taking. Where local people were not satisfied, they could ask new local scrutiny committees to investigate through "community calls to action."
In an article in The Guardian newspaper in February this year, writer Steve Rose said, “We are moving ever closer to the era of mind control.” Britain, he added, ”is one of the world's leading examples of a surveillance society, observing its citizens through CCTV [Closed Circuit surveillance] cameras and controlling their behavior with ASBOs and Ritalin. The potential for surveillance of citizen's thoughts has moved far beyond the visions of 1984.”
How are antisocial personality traits determined? You guessed it. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM), which, ironically, a 2001 international psychiatric conference held in London, UK, and comprising 150 mental health specialist, determined to be one of the 10 worst publications in psychiatry’s history. The poll said that it had “become a monster, out of control.”
The UK’s latest mental “illness” screening efforts shows how frighteningly true this is.
